Cyberware replaces or augments the body with mechanical, electronic, or synthetic systems. Artificial limbs, neural interfaces, implanted sensors, reinforced skeletons, reflex enhancers, and similar augmentations fall into this category.
Cyberware is generally cheaper and easier to manufacture than equivalent Bioware, but its artificial interfaces tend to impose a higher Anima Cost.
Cyberware is installed, maintained, modified, and repaired using the Cyberware Expertise where appropriate.
Connected Cyberware
Some Cyberware requires an active connection to The Grid to function at full effectiveness. These augmentations are marked Connected in the catalogue.
When Connected Cyberware is offline, apply the normal −10 penalty to tests that rely on the augmentation. Any benefits that specifically require an active connection are also unavailable.
The full rules for connecting, disconnecting, and reconnecting devices are found in the Gridworks and Hacking rules.
Cyberware Catalogue
Placeholder: The Static Veil Cyberware catalogue will be added once the setting’s augmentation manufacturers, product lines, and medical technology are finalized.
Catalogue entries will include each augmentation’s Price, Anima Cost, any Connected requirement, installation requirements, compatibility restrictions, and mechanical effects.
